Our Food
As well as Cakes and Scones, we serve light breakfasts and lunches. You can have muesli, toast or teacakes in the mornings, with soups, paninis and salads for lunch.
Our current panini range includes: Mozzarella with Basil and Vine Tomatoes, Brie and Cranberry, Tuna with Olive, Chicken and Roasted Vegetables, and Steak with Cheese.
If you have any allergies then let us know and we can create something for you. We stock gluten free rolls and also use dairy free spread.
Our Cakes
A lot of our cakes are gluten free. We also keep dairy-free and vegan cakes – just ask at the counter. All the cakes we sell are fresh, from a couple of bakers in Cardiff.
They can be ordered as whole cakes with a couple of days notice, with prices ranging from £11-£18 depending on size.

Our Coffee
Our small sized coffee is 8 Oz, our large is 12 Oz. We put one shot of coffee in small, and, and give you the option of one or two shots in the large, at no extra cost. If you’d like it stronger still, or in between strengths, just ask.
Our coffee is fresh, having been locally roasted no more than two weeks before hitting your cups. Being a teahouse you may think that our coffee would be so-so. However, as with everything else here, expect the best.
There is no surcharge for soya milk or decaffeinated coffees.

Come and spend some time in a haven of calm. Get away from the hustle and bustle and treat yourself.
Afternoon tea at Waterloo Gardens Teahouse comprises of…
A selection of fresh cakes, scones with clotted cream and jam, finger sandwiches – all served on a three tier cake stand with a tea of your choice.
We bake the scones and prepare finger sandwiches to order, so it is necessary to book about a day in advance. We prefer it this way, so that everything delivered to your table has been freshly made for you. Afternoon Tea is the only way by which you can reserve a table at the teahouse.
If you have any allergies or dietary needs, then with notice, we can make you exactly what you like.
Afternoon Tea makes a lovely present we think. Gift Vouchers are available so that you can treat friends and loved ones. To arrange personalised gift vouchers just contact us.
The cost is £11.50 per head. If there are more than 10 people in a group then we add a 20% surcharge.
The teahouse can also be booked exclusively for tea parties. Please contact us so that we can give you a quote specific to your requirements.
Bookings
During the day you can book for tea parties. You can also book the venue as a whole for meetings/launches/ presentations etc.
Layout and menu can be designed bespoke.
Art Gallery
The images on our walls change monthly.
The idea behind the gallery is to bring art to the public, rather than the other way around.
We are lucky to have had internationally renowned artists already exhibit, and we would like to say thanks to them for helping us establish ourselves as a gallery in a matter of months.

8 till 6, Monday-Saturday
9 till 6, Sundays
We are open every bank holiday, so whenever you are off work you can pop in for a cuppa.
